23:18After closing, someone wants a table for Friday.

Restaurants get calls exactly when nobody has a free hand: during service, and late in the evening when guests plan their week. The agent takes reservations within your rules, answers menu and diet questions from your own information and takes takeaway orders, so the phone never pulls anyone off the floor.

Trattoria Fiume is a demo business with invented details. Call it live and play the customer.

In the demo, the agent books on the spot. For your business, we decide together during setup whether it books directly or leaves requests for your team to confirm.

  • A table for tonight or the weekend

Asks for the day, time, number of guests and a name, checks the request against your opening hours and table rules, and confirms it. At Trattoria Fiume, groups of up to ten are booked straight away.

  • A large group or a private event

Takes the date, group size, occasion and contact details, and tells the caller that the manager will call back to plan it together.

  • Menu, diets and allergies

Answers from your menu: vegetarian dishes, gluten-free pasta, prices. For a serious allergy, it writes down the details for the kitchen instead of promising anything.

  • Takeaway orders

Takes the order dish by dish, reads it back and gives the pickup time you’ve set. At Trattoria Fiume: about 25 minutes.

Example conversation, written to show how a call flows. Not a recording of a real caller.

Trattoria Fiume

Example
  1. Luca (AI)

Ciao, Trattoria Fiume, this is Luca, the restaurant’s AI assistant. How can I help?

  2. Caller

I’d like a table for six on Friday evening.

  3. Luca (AI)

Lovely. What time would you like to come?

  4. Caller

Around eight. One of us can’t eat gluten.

  5. Luca (AI)

Eight o’clock for six works, and we have gluten-free pasta. I’ll note it for the kitchen. What name should the table be under?

  6. Caller

    Hoffmann. Lena Hoffmann.

  7. Luca (AI)

Thank you. Is this the best number to reach you?

  8. Caller

    Yes, it is.

  9. Luca (AI)

Then you’re booked: a table for six this Friday at 8 pm, with one gluten-free guest. See you on Friday!

The demo fills five fields. For your business, we set up the fields your team actually needs, for example:

  • Name and number of guests
  • Day and time
  • Diets and allergies, word for word
  • Occasion, for groups and events
  • Takeaway order and pickup time
  • Best number for a callback

10:30

Before the first service, the team sees every reservation made overnight.

The agent knows where its job ends. You decide which calls it finishes on its own and which go to a person.

  • Groups above your limit and private events go to the manager as a callback, with all the details already taken.
  • Complaints about a past visit are written down in full, with a promise that someone from the restaurant will call back.
  • Every reservation and order lands in your inbox as a short summary, so the evening’s plan is complete before service.

What we would ask you for

  • Opening hours, rest days and holidays
  • Table rules: group sizes, time slots, terrace
  • Your menu with prices, diets and allergens
  • What can be ordered for takeaway, and how long it takes
  • Who decides about groups and events

How we get there

  1. A call about your calls

Which calls you get, when they come and what your team does with each one.

  2. Your agent’s knowledge

We write down your hours, services, prices and rules, the way the demo businesses have theirs.

  3. A pilot on your real call types

You and your team call it, and we adjust it until it handles calls the way you would.

  4. Live on your number

You decide when calls reach the agent: after hours, when the line is busy, or always.
